Welcome to the CASS Library page where you will find resources for preparing research projects, essays, reports and items for your literary enjoyment. The most recent improvement is the card catalogue being available on a database. You can search the library collection by author, title or subject by logging into the database on Microsoft Access. See the link below to learn how to utilize this resource.

Library Picture 1Also, be sure to check the link that will help you learn how to prepare ‘in-text’ citations and a WORKS CITED page using the MLA (Modern Language Association ) method. The APA (American Psychology Association) method will also be made available. Another link that will help students research magazine articles and newspaper articles online, is the Canadian Periodical Index (CPIQ). This resources is available on any school computer as well as students’ computers at home. See the link above to learn how to access this resource.

Library Picture 2Our teacher-librarian, Mr. Frech, and our library technician, Mrs. Orr, are always available to help you find your way around the CASS library which contains approximately 15000 books. We are continually buying new books that are based on curriculum as well as books for your enjoyment reading. These include non-fiction and fiction books to sign out as well as resources in the Reference section to use in the library. Our Reference section has four new sets of encyclopedias purchased over the past few years. As well, our vertical files contain over 900 topics in the form of newspaper articles we have clipped for students to use for projects. So, come to the CASS library to find a good book to read and/or to access resources to complete assignments.
